Lake Placid!

We are headed to Lake Placid this weekend.

The photos look amazing-- Toad is excited to see some Mountains and maybe even go up one in a gondola!

We are staying in Wilmington, NY at "The North Pole" Campground and Resort.

North Pole Resorts is a family-run camping resort in the Adirondack Mountains, located on the banks of the Ausable River and at the base of Whiteface Mountain. We offer a wide variety of accommodations from tent and RV sites to motel rooms and cottages. Our property offers fantastic amenities, including: free WiFi access, private trails for hiking and biking that connect to state trails, and laundry facilities. We have two playgrounds, two outdoor pools, a general store and gift shop, an 18 hole miniature golf course, gemstone & fossil mining sluice, boat rentals, and a group hall with kitchen facilities for reunions and meetings. You can even fish in the famous Ausable River from the banks of our property! Santa’s Workshop, Ausable Chasm, and Lake Placid are all within a few minutes’ drive. For the non-camper, North Pole Inn is open year round and offers 20 Adirondack style rooms and cottages decorated with beautiful cedar log furniture. North Pole Resorts is the perfect destination for a most memorable Adirondack vacation.

Well, we are researching and deciding and BOOKING some lovely trips this summer!

June 21-23- bff and dhs to 1000 Islands and Boldt Castle!

July 6- July 16- Western Michigan and around Northern Ontario!

August 1-5: Parry Sound!

August 29- Sept 1: Mosport- Nascar Truck Race

October 11-14: Hershey, Pa!

March Break

I regretfully did not post about our trip after Christmas.
Long story-- short! The weather was awful, Pennyslvania does not believe in snow plows, and we had a sick little boy.
So, we cut it short. Our destination was Myrtle Beach, SC. We made it to Erie, PA.
Carson and I were both sick. We found out the day after we returned, that he had an ear infection. Poor thing!
Without going into great detail, we were stuck at a truck stop overnight, and it was freezing. We woke up the next morning and headed back North.We stopped at the next big town, Erie, and checked into a hotel!
We went to Splash Lagoon. It was fun, but the next morning we headed for home (and a doctor).

So, that meant that we had to plan BIG for March Break.
