Day 6, 7, 8

Day 6: We love Traverse City KOA! It is clean, open, and I love our site. We have a pull through site with tons of room. I can move my chair one way and watch Toad on the jumping pillow and the playground and put it on the other side and watch him ride his bike on the paved roads. We settled in-- and checked things out. A beautiful day, we went to the pool and relaxed. We headed into Traverse City and had dinner at Cracker Barrel (love it!). Then back for a quiet night-- its starting to rain a bit!

Day 7: Another beautiful day! We slept in, relaxed, went to the pool and then headed off to Sleeping Bear Dunes park. It was amazing! The drive was through countryside, and then all of a sudden we saw the dunes! We hit the "Dune Climb", which is a 110 foot uphill climb through deep sand. It was fun, and quite a workout. Carson ran right up to the top. We had a beautiful view of Lake Michigan. The, we hit the beach. It was sunny, warm, and breezy-- a perfect day. We had snacks and drinks and Toad gathered rocks. So nice to just spend some time together. The rocks were white and smooth and the water was cool. We checked out the Sleeping Dunes B and B (built in 1857) and the Cannery. On our way home, we hit Walmart for some supplies and groceries, came back and had some bbq'd wings and a bonfire.

On the way up!

110 feet straight up. It looks much easier than it is (believe me).

Lounging.

Day 8: Today was another beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky. Carson went on the train ride through the park. Then, Carson and I hit the pool while Adam waxed the bus. We were in the pool for hours! It was amazing! I loved the sun, We came back to the bus, went on the jumping pillow, a long walk and then went for a quick drive to Family Dollar (love that store). We had a yummy dinner, the boys went for a walk to the park store, and we had a fire. The boys went to bed fairly early and I sat in the quiet. Bliss!

Tomorrow we are off to Muskegon, Michigan!
